Congressman Sam Liccardo represents California’s 16th Congressional District, covering communities from Half Moon Bay to the heart of Silicon Valley. As Mayor of San José, he led major progress in climate action, housing, public safety, and economic growth—making the city a national leader in carbon neutrality, cutting homelessness, and attracting major tech investments. Now in Congress, he serves on the House Financial Services Committee and chairs the New Democratic Coalition’s Innovation & Technology Working Group, pushing for bipartisan solutions on affordability, clean energy, and innovation. A former criminal prosecutor, Liccardo holds degrees from Georgetown and Harvard, and lives in Saratoga with his wife, Jessica.
