Youth Advisory Committee

Congressman Sam Liccardo cares deeply about getting students involved in government and giving them the tools that they need to advocate for policies that they believe in. Voting and civic engagement are lynchpins of our democracy, and the Congressman believes our high schoolers are ready to get involved. He wants to share his ideas with students, hear their feedback, and collaborate on issues important to our nation.

Candidates must:

Excused absences must be cleared by a member of our staff at least 24 hours before our scheduled meeting, except in a genuine emergency. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence.

Our staff will deny any request for verification of volunteer hours or for college admissions if a student is dropped from the Committee.
