Liccardo was an original sponsor on the bill’s House version, the STABLE Act, and introduced several amendments to improve the bill’s language supporting criminal penalties for violating the regulations and anti-money laundering requirements, several of which are reflected in the final bill.

SAN JOSE, CA — Today, Congressman Sam Liccardo (CA-16) proudly announced Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) will receive a $438,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). AACI, a San Jose-based organization providing primary and behavioral health services to immigrants, will invest the grant funding to train more behavioral health professionals.
