Rep. Sam Liccardo Votes "Hell No" on the One Big, Ugly Bill

July 3, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Rep. Sam Liccardo (CA-16) voted against Republican Budget Bill that guts essential lifelines—health care, food assistance, and education—while saddling America’s children with another $3.9 trillion in debt.
Liccardo released the following statement:
"Today, I voted ”hell no" on the “One Big Bloated Borrowing Bill.
"Beyond the cruelty of cutting essential lifelines to healthcare, food, and education, this budget spends our children’s money, saddling them with $3.9 trillion in additional debt. Regardless of how some explain it today to the public, we can never justify it to our grandchildren years from now."
