WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Congressman Sam Liccardo (CA-16), and five of his House Financial Services Committee (FSC) colleagues, introduced the No Preferential Release of Federal Information for Transactions (NO PROFIT) Act, a bill that would bar social media companies from offering faster, subscription-based access to government employees’ accounts that communicate material information.
Through collaboration with community partners our office created a toolkit to protect the safety and health of our communities from the impacts of ICE detention center construction through sensible zoning changes.
